Violence Against Canadian Women
In this chapter data from the 1999 General Social Survey (GSS) were analyzed. Results indicate that women who have experienced abuse use health services at rates higher than non-abused women. These include higher rates of physician visits, emergency room visits and hospitalizations, and they report poorer ratings of their health. Thus, experiencing abuse, whether as a child or an adult, places women at higher risk of poor health outcomes, both physical and psychological.

Restorative Justice: A Literature Review
This literature review examines whether current research shows restorative justice to be a safe, effective criminal justice response to cases of intimate partner violence in Canada. The primary focus of this research paper is on adults. Where available materials analyzing intersectionalities such as race, ethnicity, culture, (dis)ability, sexual orientation, age, and poverty are included. Where there is a significant body of literature (for instance regarding Aboriginal peoples), a separate analysis are included.
