Canadian Expert Panel on Tobacco Smoke and Breast Cancer Risk

This review was completed in order to further examine the relationship between tobacco smoke and breast cancer risk. Specifically, the review examines the relationship between second-hand smoke and active exposure and pre- and post-menopausal breast cancer, as well as breast cancer incidence and mortality estimates attributable to second-hand smoke and active smoking.

This report summarizes the findings from 11 literature reviews that were completed by the Canadian Breast Cancer Initiative Working Group on Primary Prevention of Breast Cancer. The reviews were conducted in order to examine the association between breast cancer and modifiable risk factors.
